OK, to tell you a little bit about me. I need to share with you, that this is a clinic owned by Dr. Donna Rizzo. She graduated from ISU vet college in 1989, and started as a vet here, two weeks later. Dr.Rizzo loves all the kids she sees, and most of them love her,too. If you have been here, you know that you can tell me and ask me anything about your kids, I will answer. Sometimes people are sorry they asked, but I do NOT lie. I am the owner of two golden retrievers, and 3 cats. My dogs always visit the clinic, and some days I think they want to live here, but they certainly do live with me at my home. I live in Huxley, on an acreage, it is actually closer to my clinic than my home in Ames was. I only do small animal medicine, and although I did touch a few goats and pigs when I started, I refer people to vets that know these creatures now. I have also studied chiropractic care on animals. I only practice on small animals, I do alright, but I honestly feel I am not as good of a chiropractor as I am a vet. As a vet, you are in a profession that is always learning, that is honestly, why I love it, and could never see myself not doing it.

I have been asked to put my hours on the web site, not knowing where to put them, I figured checking out the doctor is probably the likely place you check out the hours.
I see clients by appointment only, I will sometimes squeeze people in if it is a must. but appointments allow all of us to keep our time schedule better.
Office hours: M-F 7:30-12
M&F 12-5:30
Tues&Thurs 12-7pm
Wed 7:30-12pm
Sat 9-!2pm

T 8-12 Surgery only
The doctor tries to stay in surgery all morning on Tuesday, and is available most Saturdays from 9-12, Call to make Appointments with the doctor and for surgery. For routine pick up or boarding you are welcome anytime during office hours.
