For over 30 years laser therapy has been used to successfully treat conditions in humans in other countries. Just recently, it was excepted in the US. We are now on the cutting edge to be able to offer this exciting benefit for your pet.
What advantages does laser therapy have over other forms of therapy? It does not require the use of drugs or surgery. There are fewer side effects/risks. It is quick and convenient.
What are the the benefits? It is a non-surgical treatment. No patient sedation or restraint is required. It is extremely safe with very few side effects! Laser therapy can be combined with medications or other treatments. The results are almost immediate with some pets feeling better 12-24 hours after treatment. It also speeds healing of damaged tissue.
The therapeutic laser can decrease inflammation from bad joints ( hips, knees, elbows) or arthritis, it can reduce pain in backs, ears, heads, ect. It will increase blood flow to the area, and lymphatic flow away from the area, so it is honestly a wonderful adjunct into treating old animal bones, joints, infection regions, etc. It can be used instead of surgery in some circumstances, post surgically in other instances, and along with medical care in many instances.
We offer this along with pain management medication to help further reduce inflammation post surgically. Please just ask if you have more questions, we love to talk about it!
